Pfc. Jacques Leblanc
K-9 Officer Leblanc began his law enforcement career in March of 1999, when he served with the City of Youngsville Police Department for five years. Officer Leblanc has also served his country as a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard infantry for six years. Officer Leblanc began working as a K-9 handler with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he conducted criminal patrol/interdiction for several years throughout the parish and along Interstate 10. During his time with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Officer Leblanc was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he, along with his K-9, seized hundreds of pounds of narcotics, over $500,000 in US currency, and made numerous felony narcotics arrests. Officer Leblanc then transferred to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he was also promoted to Sergeant, serving as the supervisor of the Special Investigations Unit, which included plain clothes narcotics and the crime reduction team. During his law enforcement career, Officer Leblanc has received multiple commendations resulting from his strong work ethic and efforts toward crime prevention, to include a lifesaving award while a member of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office. Officer Leblanc is currently assigned to the Power Division, with his K-9 Sill.
