This division is responsible for magistrate's court, reports, citations, payments, and answering phone calls.
I worked for Acadian Ambulance for 9 years in the business office before joining the team with the Broussard Police Department in March of 2003 as a Court Clerk.
As the court clerk, I handled all aspects of the day to day operations in the front office. My duties included answering phones, handling walk-ins, data entry, collecting money, daily deposits, record keeping and filing. I served as Assistant Deputy Clerk for the Broussard Magistrate Court.
In January 2006, I was promoted to Chief Clerk to assist the Chief of Police and oversee the daily operations of the clerical staff. I maintain all personnel files, payroll, daily reports, records management, transcribe minutes from meetings, and assist the Chief with projects. I currently serve as the Broussard Magistrate Clerk of Court where I assist with taking the minutes from our court proceedings.
